What cars have we got going?

by wondering Arms » 20 Jan 2015 08:57

The wondering Arms team have bagged a Renault Laguna 1.8 petrol from ebay for the tidy sum of £225 and it drives!!!! :o

Missing a wing mirror, no radio code, front tyres keep going flat, whine from the engine which we think is the water pump and no central locking but other than that it drives, has 12 month MOT and goes well. A little bit of work and it might just make the start. :D

We wanted a Volvo but got out bid at the last minute so this was a second option. download/file.php?mode=view&id=6

What have the others teams got or ended up with at this point of the preparation?

We had 3 of us. One dropped out due to a pregnancy. So we are on the hunt for a 2 door.

Hi Guys.

Croker's Coach Tours have got themselves a bit of a project:

Let's see what we can make from them both!

We've picked up a car today. Nothing like leaving it to the last second! Volvo V70 2.4T. 120,000miles, and drives like a dream. Some entertaining lights on the dashboard, a slight knocking underneath and the inside is ugh, scruffy as it was a builders car! Bargain at £300!

Hi, i thought we'd introduce ourselves. We're Jez and Wag from Sheffield and this is our rally car. It's a year 2000 Daihatsu Cuore 1 litre. We've had the little buzz box for 3 years but it's getting near the end of its life now so we thought we'd send it out in style. The car cost us £400 three years ago so by my reckoning it's well under the 300 quid mark by now. We've put a base layer of fresh paint on it by brush and further decoration is to come. All the time I've had the car it's had no interior in it to improve all round performance but to make the trip more bearable i've succumbed to carpeting the interior so we can hear ourselves think.
Hope all your respective projects are coming along nicely and we look forward to meeting up with you all in Lille.
Take care and see you soon, Jez and Wag.

We only got our car a few days ago. Probably left it quite late, like our entry. Still, it is a decent looking car and it has air con!
